I love wrapping presents. It’s one of my favorite things to do during the holiday season. Although the average person doesn’t usually keep the wrapping, I still like to add a personal touch. Sometimes presentation is everything =)
I like to keep a few rolls of wrapping paper at home, along with ribbons, tissue paper, and gift bags.
It’s also fun to make your own gift tags. Paper Source has super cute and unique wrapping papers. I think that during the holiday season, I’ll include more ideas and tips on wrapping presents.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend.

A nautical themed BBQ for 4th of July is on the weekend agenda. So I’ve been researching for inspirations this week. This is a super easy recipe that is both festive to look at and delicious to eat.
For nautical flags:
I bought a sheet of map wrapping paper from Paper-Source. Simply cut it into strips of your desired length and width. Glue onto bamboo skewers.
Melt white chocolate. Dip about half of a strawberry into the white chocolate. Immediately dip the tip of the strawberry into blue sanding sugar.

Hi everyone! Happy Memorial Day! I bet you all are excited for the long weekend – I sure am, too! I’m currently having fun creating American flag colored nails. In the pictures above, I am using Essie’s “e-nuf is e-nuf.” This is not quite a red polish, but more so a deep coral. I’m also using Essie’s “aruba blue.” Consider painting all of your nails in one color, leaving an accent nail on each hand. I am using Martha Stewart’s glitter to add some sparkle on the accent nail. I also added some stripes (used Sally Hansen’s nail art pen). Hmm, I need to have steadier hands and perfect these stripes a bit more.
I hope you have a fun and equally relaxing weekend! xo

I felt like I was in the Vincent van Gogh painting of Starry Night while driving home one evening. The dark blue sky, the crescent moon, and the swirling clouds exude a feeling of peace. And inspired this week’s nail art.
- Base coat – Essie’s “Aruba Blue”
- Use a small brush (a toothpick also works) to draw a semi-circle in the middle of your nail. I used a lighter shade blue – Essie’s “Beach Bum Blu”
- Blend the semi-circle using a dab of white nail polish. I used Sally Hansen’s “White On”
- Use a small brush (or toothpick) to draw the moon. I used Revlon’s “Electric”
- Paint the bottom and left side of your nail black.
- Finally, apply a top coat.
