Homemade Granola

If you’re like me and you work a full 9-5 job, 3pm usually calls for snack time.  In an effort to avoid the snack baskets/vending machines at work, I made granola.  The ingredients include items that are supposed to fuel the brain, such as almonds and oats.  I like how it is customized and you can choose the kind of dry fruits you like.  Or even add chocolate chips into the mix to create a sweeter taste.  I adapted this recipe and used dried cranberries.  I made a few granola bars out of the mixture for on-the-go breakfasts and afternoon snacks.  The rest were stored into jars to add to cereal or yogurt.
